Submitter updated the patch, so reassigning back.
The problem appears to be as in the attached demo I added. (related to issue
68193 and issue 96913) where if a slide has an individual background set on it
(slide 2 in this example) then right click->slide->page
setup->background->ok->Background settings for all pages->yes doesn't do what it
seems to say.
What it actually does is only the the background of the master. If a page is of
a different master, or has a background setting which overrides the master, then
it remains unchanged.
