------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Apr 12 14:53:05 +0000 2010 ------- What happens when I have on my machine /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libnpsoplugin.so and a FireFox that does not have the plugin installed? As I understand the Tab-Page will be deactivated and the FireFox does not use the plugin. But that would be a case of a misconfigured system, and the responsibility lies on the distribution or responsible system administrator. Am I right with my understanding? If yes, the only problem I see, is following: Somebody has an own FireFox installation on Linux system, and the installation is not part of the paths-list. The plugin link is in the plugin directory of the FireFox. As result the plugin is active always along with the non-deactivated but useless Tab-Page => regression. The only possibility to avoid it is to check in the plugin implementation that there is a plugin link in the paths list, as it is done in svx. And if there is no, to deactivate the plugin. Am I right with my understanding? Do we want to do it? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
