The only platform there this is to be used is Linux, and there you know the location where distributions usually place the lugins in (there even is a standardized(? one know many distros already use): /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libnpsoplugin.so:/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libnpsoplugin.so:/usr/lib/firefox/libnpsoplugin.so No one says this would work on Windows or any other OS where you install whatever you get from somewhere in whatever location...
