You are better off with the powders and letting the oils leach out over time. Cinnamon bark oil (90+ % cinnamaldehyde) and 100 % cinnamaldehyde have been tested in tissue culture. They tend to burn the tissue and the effect is short lived as they evaporate.
There is a synergic effect between cinnamaldehyde and eugenol. Cinnamon is better with cinnamon leaves, or cloves. Allspice oil is 50 to 80 % eugenol. The spices themselves provide a timed release of their oils. -- Larry Wallace Cincinnati
