I don't know this genus except from these threads and googling the species.
I have been throwing out a lot of good stuff prematurely. Dried leaves do not mean it will not root. The crotch of a petiole has a meristem which can produce another leaf. If the stem is alive give it a chance. Peroxide and vinegar will kill any mold or fungus. Cinnamon and cloves will give a more lasting protection from fungus and oomycete. -- Larry Wallace Cincinnati
