It is unseasonably nice in the Pacific Northwest. In Portland Thursday felt like April when I shoveled a truck of compost without even a light jacket! Now east of the Cascades is the same... ground thawing, mid 50s with light wind. Slowly weaning my birds off the feeders so they will get into the wild again. The rock anthills are green on the southsides with germinating seeds.
