Since you asked, the Penstemon in the pot behind the birds is a very old
specimen of P. davidsonii. In the smaller container you can see Aquilegia
jonseii, Lewisia redivida, Draba densifolia. The tanagers come in the early
spring to feast on the strawberries that I use for ground cover.
