Hi guys,

I installed the latest alsa drivers, libs, etc. (that being 0.9.0rc3 as far as
I could determine). Everything works just fine, except for the microphone.

- All channels are unmuted and levels are set to the highest values.
- "Mic" is set to capture, unmuted and set to highest value
- "Mic Capture" is set to highest value, unmuted
- "Mic Boost" is unmuted (can't change its range though, just mute and unmute)

I start arecord and start talking in the microphone. Nothing is recorded. I
change the captured item to PCM and recording works fine. So the card itself
works fine, just not the microphone.

And before you ask if the cables, etc, etc. are plugged in properly. Yes, they
are. I hate to say it this way, but the Mic works fine under MS Windows, so
it's plugged in properly.

Anything else I can try out?
