Hi, i just grabbed the topic for my still persisting problem with the S/PDIF output via the digital/analog output jack of my Audigy 2.
Meanwhile i use a debian 2.6.3 Kernel, but tried also different cvs-versions of alsa-driver. I may play 2 channel pcm via spdif but no A52 or DTS. The passthrough still does not work. Changing the mixer switches for this Jack or Optical Raw really enable the analog and the digital output but thats all. When i strace accesses to spdif, i only see that /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p is used. I remember something about the device /dev/snd/pmcC0D3p in combination with pass-through. if i try to access this device directly, i get an "snd_pcm_open: No such device", even if it is there and i use devfs. is this correct? COuld it be a hint to by problems? best wishes, and thanks ingo -- Ingo Reimann [EMAIL PROTECTED] Klosterstr. 36 +49 251 2032558 D-48143 Muenster +49 179 1055294 ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
