The card is enabled in the BIOS, but does not appear in the lspci output. I 
don't really know the terminology, but taking another look at the manual that 
is exactly what it shows (a codec not the actual card). Here is a link to the

Information is shown on page 8 and 12. I was also surprised to find that Asus 
supplies drivers that support RedHat 6.2. I have not tried these yet, but plan 
to try them (although I'd prefer to use the alsa drivers).

Is this sound system not supported?
