Sounds like the D72A is mis-decoding the compressed APRS packet
format. We've had a couple of other people asking for uncompressed APRS
to use with older equipment that doesn't handle the compressed format,
so having the choice solves a bunch of problems with one minor change.

The dedicated receivers (TeleDongle and TeleBT) use a completely
different, dedicated digital telemetry protocol, so it's unaffected by
the choice of APRS encoding technique.

Have fun out there! We'll have the uncompressed APRS stuff in the next
'real' release for TeleGPS.
