Aliexpress might be a good way to find some parts that are now EOL. I have had to do this once or twice in the past. Octopart might result in a few US vendors with some residual stock or even suggest the replacement part. (Some digging suggests that the HM5983 might be a replacement; more reading required for a definitive answer.)
