That's odd. I have to admit I haven't tried to flash an 8051-based
device for quite a while though; always possible we've messed something up.

If you've got a Debian desktop around, you can install altos and use
ao-load to flash the device with C code instead of Java. You'll want the
radio calibration value, which we can probably provide if you send us
the serial number.
