My frequency counter only goes up to 100 MHz but I have a 3 GHz spectrum analyzer and a 10 MHz GPSDO reference.  Assuming I can get the RBW low enough, do you think that would be sufficient?

I was able to get into the board with a terminal so assuming these instructions are still valid, I can try that.

No, a board in either idle or pad mode will continue operating until the
battery is discharged.
