Hy,
still working on the prob with the missing tape(s) i finally found that one
tape wasn't labelled correctly and therefore not used.
after labelling it i ran amanda,
which reported then:

*** PERFORMED ALL DUMPS TO HOLDING DISK.
THESE DUMPS WERE TO DISK. Flush them onto tape net-daily1 or a new tape.
Tonight's dumps should go onto 1 tape: net-daily2.

but when trying to flush i get:

$ amflush net-daily
Could not find any Amanda directories to flush.

while amcheck returns:

$ amcheck net-daily

so, amdump says in its last run:
flush the holding disk to net-daily1,
make a dump tonight to net-daily2.
but amflush fails than ( must i use amdump then?),
and amcheck tells me that the now inserted tape net-daily1
is ok.
looks strange to me, is there any help for this?
