That the dumpcycle is 12 weeks does not mean that in an interval of 12
weeks AMANDA will have to do *exactly one* full backup of your disk, but
that she will have to do *at least one*. In your case, she "promoted"
the disk. You should have got a note from planner for this. Generally,
this is rather a Good, than a Bad Thing.

The file amdump.1 in the directory specified by the logdir parameter in
your amanda.conf contains all the "pondering" the planner did (and a lot
of other information too) for your last backup.
