I am trying to set up Amanda for my remote systems. I use an ATL L500
14 bay changer/library with an DLT 7000 tape drive. I am currently
doing simple tar directly to the DLT tape using /dev/st0(or /dev/nst0)
from a RH Linux 6.2 system.
After reading much documentation, I find no /dev/ch0 and ./MAKEDEV will
not create this device. The best I can tell is the tape device may be
/dev/sga. But I admit I am very confused over this. I do have the info
for tapetype, but not tapedev.
Can anyone lend some info for the ATL series of library/changers? All I
need is pointing in the right direction. Thanks for any help.
