I once used the '-f' option to just re-label the new tapes after the old ones.
When the tape cycle comes around to DAILY00, perhaps you could run:
amlabel -f DAILY DAILY00
Amanda should then accept the tape as though it were the original DAILY00
and once you have a backup on the new DAILY00 tape you can then re-label
the original with DAILY20, or whatever your new set of labels is (MONTHLY00?).
