Have you done a "cvs update" recently and rebuilt/reinstalled?

The core file is only useful to someone who has the same type of system
as you (which certainly isn't me). More useful (assuming "cvs update"
does not fix it) would be a stack traceback with gdb, e.g.:
gdb /path/to/amlabel /path/to/core

> quit
