>Patch Server and Clients, or just the Server?

The patch goes against driver, which is just the server side.

Ah. What happens is the entries are in a queue that driver tries to run
through the holding disk first. When everything has been done that way
that can be, the rest of the queue is run direct to tape.

When the dumpers all died, the "through the holding disk" loop terminated
and the "direct to tape" final pass kicked in, which caused the messages
you saw. If the dumpers had behaved, this would not have happened.

Just more symptoms of the one common problem.
