This is weird ...
1st of all why is it calling dump iso ufsdump ?
2nd the read should be the filesystem read, and should just be spitting
loads (and loads and loads) of data

No, I knew that.
It's just that if the syslog keeps saying things like
** falied to read block 12 on /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 retrying **
or
** nfsserver flipje not responding, still trying **
or
** trying to connect to host BLAH at port BLUB failing **
or
(well you get the point)
we might have a clue that whatever it is that's going wrong is outside of
amanda ..
As it is , it almost looks like amanda on the client is trying to talk to
an amanda server that's not responding and therefore everything is just
sitting there
*or*
amanda is listeing on the server but is only accepting packets at carrier
pigeon rates
Is there anything ion the amanda.*.debug on the server that might give a
clue ?
(although I just checked on my server and there isn';t anything being
logged there )
