Hi, I'm using amanda 2.4.2p2-9 with onstream DI-30
I've 2 different questions : 1)It works reasonably well, but from time to time, I have such a message with amverify : Tapes: Daily-10 Errors found: Daily-10 (): amrestore: 0: skipping start of tape: date 20020910 label Daily-10 amrestore: fast-forward: Input/output error ** No header 0+0 records in 0+0 records out ... amverify Daily Fri Sep 20 20:00:00 CEST 2002 Using device /dev/nosst0 Volume Daily-10, Date 20020910 ** Error detected () amrestore: 0: skipping start of tape: date 20020910 label Daily-10 amrestore: fast-forward: Input/output error ... Too many errors. Quite anoying, but I can live with it. Then I try to amrmtape, and erase the tape, then re-amlabel. But it's impossible to do a good backup on this tape any more, I always get error with this tape (no error message from amdump, but the same type of error message from amverify). I even tried to use this tape under windows : It works normally (I can backup and restore), but not under Linux/amanda. So I have to take a new one. 2) I recently get this message from amlabel (I didn't find it in the doc).
