I've only got the one tape drive - so hard to test. I have written to the tape drive before (/dev/nst0) using a script that came with my O'Reilly book that worked with dump, so I know the drive is hooked up and working.
load / unload gave me the same response as status. I'll try the same commands with /dev/nst0 Thanks again. -John --- Jon LaBadie <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Tue, Feb 04, 2003 at 09:04:38PM -0800, John > Cunningham wrote: > > Jon, > > > > I followed your advice on mtx and think I may have > > > found the problem. > > > > Check out these results - first an inquiry: > > [root@blossom root]# mtx -f /dev/sg0 inquiry > > Did you try other devices (if you have them), > like sg1, sg2?
