-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello amanda-users,
I'm still working at this :-( I have the amanda server installed on a dedicated server. I'm trying to backup a filesystem on one of my clients. I keep getting a data timeout on this client, and the filesystem does not get backed up. The filesystem in question has about 26 gig of data, in about 2.5 million files. The funny thing is that even though amdump reports a data timeout, I can see gtar still running on my client I can also see sendbackup still running. The active gtar is taking up nearly 97 meg of memory at the time that amdump fails. I have dtimeout set to 7200. The client is a dual cpu P4, running at 866 Mhz each, with 1 gig of memory. It is running RedHat 7.1. Both systems are running Amanda 2.4.4p1 There are no IP filters on either system. I can successfully back up smaller filesystems on the client. I have trouble believing that two hours can go by without gtar sending ANY traffic to the server. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance JBB - --- Jonathan B.
