Update: support-technician appeared within a few hours, detected that the drive had eaten the tape (couldn't take a look by myself, the library is a few hundred kms away) ... seems there were some tape-parts stuck in the drive or something. He simply replaced the drive-unit, everything up and running again. So no amanda-problem here *phew* ;-) thanks anway, Stefan
