OK, So i've tried again without the custom-compress option, now when it
gets to the 5th tape when trying to recover I just get

tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Extractor child exited with status 2

Whats the best way forward here? Should I be using a newer version of
Amanda?

Regards,
Mark
