*that* I can't reproduce.. are you sure those params don't appear
anywhere? (I assume you are, but ..)

With this config, Amanda runs just fine (it's from the installchecks).
 Note that there are no flush parameters here:

dumpuser "dustin"
infofile "/A/p/etc/amanda/TESTCONF/curinfo"
logdir "/A/p/etc/amanda/TESTCONF/log"
indexdir "/A/p/etc/amanda/TESTCONF/index"
org "DailySet1"
tapedev "file:/A/p/tmp/installchecks/vtapes"
tpchanger "chg-disk"
changerfile "/A/p/etc/amanda/TESTCONF/ignored-filename"
labelstr "TESTCONF[0-9][0-9]"
tapecycle 3
autolabel "TESTCONF%%" empty volume_error
tapetype "TEST-TAPE"

define tapetype TEST-TAPE {
length 30 mbytes
filemark 4 kbytes
}

define dumptype installcheck-test {
auth "local"
compress none
program "GNUTAR"
}

holdingdisk hd1 {
directory "/A/p/tmp/installchecks/holding"
use 25 mbytes
chunksize 1 mbyte
}

Good point. I think we missed that particular forest for the trees
when these changes were made (back in 2.6.1). Thanks!

Yes - I haven't had a chance to look at that yet. I was hoping
Jean-Louis would do so before he left for vacation.
