Is there a trick to let amanda do estimates only?
For example: I have a working config "daily" running to tapes where the estimates (calcsize mostly) are done already ... And now I introduce a 2nd config "vtape" backing up to 2 NASes where I symlink the disklist ... even with the same etimeout=1200 and estimate method some DLEs fail to estimate. Now I assume that if I increase etimeout for the first week or so things will work out sooner or later. But an initial "do estimates only" run would be more elegant, right? thanks for any pointers ps: for sure I plan to combine vtapes and physical tapes into one config, vaulting etc / but I am still not competent enough to do so in production ;-)
