If you have DLEs on external (USB) drives I strongly recommend to set this to "NO". The property translates to the --check-device option of tar (on by default) what makes tar consider the device number when creating incremental archives. As that number might change on reboot you'll see in that case a full backup of all DLEs on a particular disk even though the data is unchanged.
