Hi Mikael I've seen something similar on my mailserver as well:
(lost connection with 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1 But amavisd-new was still running. I figured out, it was a wrong regexpression in the /etc/amavisd.conf file. Amavis still started up though but something went wrong. After removing the new regex from the conf file and restart of Amavis and Postfix, it worked again.
