Having moved to the Highlands some years ago we are only too aware of the
feeling of not being 'at the centre of things' however its all to easy to
sound like you've got a chip on your shoulder about it if you're not careful
(which Andy I'm sure you don't)

Our solution to being away from the urban field of action - do it yourself
and set up your own events and work (which, Andy, you are doing I think)
and get others to want to come to you. The great thing about being away from
face to face networks is you use the web better.

We have found ambit invaluable in making us feel like we are in touch with
what's going on albeit in a slightly narrow field. The CCA topic is as
relevant to us as it is to a Glasgow art school undergraduate. It has wider
implications than just an administrative decision as it speaks volumes on
how we view the role of art in society. As a list we use technology created
by the military and as technology based artists we have responsibilities to
address such issues.

Andy If you want to discuss other subjects please tell me what's stopping
you? There is plenty of server space for many different threads I think.
Tell us about the Citadel development initiative if you think we'd be
interested. I am. And we are all interested i think in non geography and non
exclusive.

If people don't contribute to the list then i don't care whether they leave
or not. everyone has an equal voice - they should use it if they feel they
have something to say worth saying even if it reads like they swallowed a
dictionary.

onwards and outwards
