I think that's a good point Lucy. What I think JODI are trying to do, however, is encourage you to forget about "playing" the game and just enjoy the audio-visual experience, the kinetics of the whole thing.
It's almost impossible to play their messed up Quake games and that is deliberate. When I spoke to them about it they told me that they were crap at games anyway, and, as Gair says, weren't very interested in them ... so, in a way "untitled game" suggests an alternative way for enjoying games for those of us who always get knocked out in the first five minutes.
