--- Begin Message ---Dear All Many thanks to all those who attended the meeting at CCA a couple of weeks ago and to those who have followed up with comments. As a direct result of this meeting, it is clear that our growing coalition urgently needs to act to raise the profile of and improve the conditions for artists practicing in Scotland. As a first step, a website has been set up - www.artfutures.net - that includes the minutes of the recent meeting and relevant background information. Some links to grassroots activities are in place already but it has been left deliberately open so that more can be added and I look forward to receiving your suggestions. The website also extracts a list of aims and objectives from our discussion. And, most importantly, it contains a questionnaire that all artists and stakeholders should complete and return in order to make their views heard for the future. Please take a moment to fill in the questionnaire and forward this mail to anyone who would consider themselves a stakeholder in this process. I look forward to seeing many names added to the list of individuals and organisations involved and a better future for individual practice and grassroots activities in Scotland.
