Obvisoly agreeing with Angelo on the seperation of concerns part. Not sure if
at this point I would split it of as a service though. That adds a level of
complexity in terms of lifecycle that might be considered overkill. For
example, consider that when it is a service it can by contract be another
bundle implementing it, which would required registration and tracking of
services adding objects to the cache needed for timely flushing of objects when
they go down.
