Roberto are using and so my question simply refers to the fact that
the program version has to be compatible with the software version.
Tradestation 4 can handle ELA files, 2000i can handle ELA and ELS,
and 6.xx and higher handle ELS and ELD. ELD (EasyLanguageDocument
file) is not backward compatible with ELS (EasyLanguageStorage file)
because of differences in format, key words, and functions. 6.xx
and higher automatically modify ELS code during import but going the
other way from ELD to ELS has to be done manually. User functions
are another matter and may, as Ed suggests, be part of the problem
with importing Roberto's code. There is much discussion about
matching program and software versions on the Tradestation
websites.

Bill,
it hasn't to be such complicated.
Roberto hasn't joint to his post an ELA, ELS, or ELD file, that we
need to import in our "Power Editor".
He posted a "open code" that you can simply copy and paste in any
Power Editor (saving it and exporting it will create a file with the
extensions you recalled, but it's a different matter), because it is
written in "easy language".
Do so, then press F3 to verify it.
In mine, it doesn't verify, because it didn't recognize the
words "HC", "BC", "cc" (they HAVE to be user's functions because
the "french trader" didn't declare them as "inputs" or "variables").
That's it, very simple
And, if I must add, this is a common practice for a developer who
wants to show you something, but not the whole package.
