I would like to use PG Offline as well. I have downloaded the trial version and I am having exactly the same problems as you. PGO version 2.5047 plus 2.5047 patch MS Access 2002 (SP3) XP Home (SP2) 512MB memory Intel 2793Mhz I downloaded 40K old messages from the archive overnight without any troubles so my database is message 15486 to approx 55K. It is intriguing that we are the only two with this problem.
