Ken,

Memory of my QP try out is fading.

As I am still on the steep part of the AB learning curve there are a
lot of things I try and don't buy at the time.
I park them with the intent of specialising in them later, if and
when they fit my specific trading objectives.
QP was in that class.

In my trial I focused on finding out what raw data went into SPP
rather than what they derived from it.
I also tried to figure out if SPP *received* any raw data from QP
that AB did not.
I got at that stuff by unfolding the Xcel file that came with my SPP
installation and comparing it to getextradata.
I thought the main benefit of QP for AB users was for its unique
data supply ('rank' and fdata bundled with quote prices),
synchronisation with the AB information page (categories etc) and
the seamless data acquisition provided by the plugin.

My opinion was that the QP ranking systems were fairly transparent
and could be duplicated in AB with relative ease, especially now
that AB has provided the SQL plugin.
However, as it was pointed out to me in previous posts, I didn't
have SPP long enough to learn all of its features.
