Hello Steve, I agree with your comments about signposts to the resources.
I was a very frustrated student until I found that the information is all there somewhere and that the skill of finding it all was the most important skill to learn, alomg with a self-help attitude. I think the forum compensates in that it is a huge repository of knowledge. For the time being I have focused my posts mainly on guiding newer users towards finding and using the resources in the best way. Hopefully the forum can do that job to help people get into the program. Remember, it is our forum and we have 20GB of filespace and unlimited message space to create our own 'help manual part II'. We just need to change our mindset as to what consitutes a help manual and also what could be done via a pro-active forum. If we consider that Tomasz is doing his job, and he can't be expected to do any more for us, what can we do to help ourselves? I will be starting a topic on suggestions for the file list and maybe the forum this weekend. I have some files ready for a discussion and vote on which files if any we can delete from the file section. (They are in the file section under Xfiles waiting for a launch). We can also discuss different ways we can use the file section and placing some documents there to assist newcomers could be one of them. I have been useing amibroker for nearly for over 3 years now. I recognize many of the names on the list that have answerd questions or have written indicator programs that I currently use. > > Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > > On thing that I wish someone could do is put togather some information to tell every one that is new how to find all the information that is behind supporting the new amibroker users. I am still finding new places after over 3 yeras of use. One other thing it would be good if someone could writ a programing manual to teach those of use that have no understanding how to code, also it seems that there are times that I get code that was written and placed in the library that has a lot of syntax errors, I don't know how to fix. > > Steve Kuball > > sursod <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Tomasz is the best of the best.
