Susan,
I'm a little perplexed as to why it didn't work.  I've used Jim's
templates for over a year and no problems.  Make sue when you extract
the US-Stocks folder don't open it(no need to).  Just copy and paste
it in the Program files>Amibroker. Mine is in Drive "C" but perhaps
your is on another drive.  Make sure your current DB in the Amibroker
file doesn't have the same name ... if so rename one of them. You then
open Amibroker and on the Files dropdown menu "Open Database" and
scroll down to the new one.  Click on it and you should get a DB with
symbols and all.  Use Amiquote to update with the date range you
desire.  Hopefuly it will work for you.
