Honestly Dick, I'm a little perplexed as to why it *does* work, meaning the AmiQuote update. There seems no way to extract the ticker list from AmiBroker if there are no quotes yet.
Susan what I do is extract Stocks-XLS.zip, open in excel, copy/paste column D into notepad (delete 1st row) and save this with .tls extension, then open this in AmiQuote. No effort at all by the way, but Dick if there's a smarter way please enlighten us.
