Good point. I recently wanted to buy a CD of tick data for the ASX - only one shop in town had the product (quality unknown).
After 5 - 7 days their support still hadn't answered my initial email (by then AmiBroker was lookng like Miss World in a bikini). I still needed that data - I picked up the phone and asked them, very nicely, to please email me - the boss did - I replied and he forwarded on to support - I got my data. The boss followed up days later as well. I'm still friends with support too! brian_z --- In [email protected], "Herman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Selecting the best tools/data is like making a trade: it works best without emotions. If QP provides the data you want/need switching is a bad idea, regardless of how angry you are. You may experience the same with other data providers; no one is perfect. I have swallowed my pride many times, saving myself lots of time and stress, and ending up with better tools. It doesn't matter who is right or wrong. > > Pick the data you want and need based on quality and delivery, not on people factors. > > good luck, > herman > > > From: Dan Clark > Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2008 11:55 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [amibroker] New EOD data feed other than Quotes Plus > > > I've been using Quotes Plus data for the last 2-1/2 years. Overall, I've been very happy with Quotes Plus data and Gary Lyben's (owner/president) responsiveness. That said. > > > > In the last few days, I've swapped several e-mails about a minor billing issue (credit card renewed with different number) with a woman in his billing department. This is a major issue for me because of the amount of AFL recoding involved, but I can no longer do business with Quotes Plus. > > > > I need some options for other EOD data feeds. What EOD service are you using? What has your experience been? What are the alternatives now? > > > > Thanks and regards, > > > > Dan. >
