If you have a few favorites , you can check the web site and see what's what. When they are available, ie current or historic or both. That may help in your decision. Additionally, if you do much quant type analysis, not visual, your "answers" will change with yahoo and other paid services. If you send yahoo an inquery, I have not on Bill's original observation, the usual answer is " we, yahoo, don't control the quality of the data...sorry about that." If so, you have to use historical data which in your case (late at night) will always work.
