I've been working on my own footprint charts for Amibroker and was just curious about the patents Market Delta claims: http://www.marketdelta.com/Footprint_Chart_Vend
Any IP guru's here that could explain to what extent this kind of patent would reach? Is just the Footprint name Trademarked or have they actually patented the chart type? I.e. A coloured rectangle on screen that shows bid vs ask price. That seems fairly crazy to me, yet they license the idea out at $25 per user. Is the candle patented? :) Regards, Julian.
