No, YOU don't get it. My AmIRC is set up to use different colours for
modes, join/parts, quits etcc.. All message text is green on a black
background. I don't like people using 100% colour when typing. I know you
can turn it off (or strip colour).. But sometimes colour can be useful.
Just that when idiots come on a channel and flood it with stupid "popups"
it shows hpw sad they are.
Also, I've seen dickheads use colour codes for black, This is stupid as some
people do have black backgrounds, so you can't see what the hell theyre
saying.
I've even seen people with stupid mirc scripts that prefix everything they
type with a fancy colour pattern.. This is IRC, It's not a MUD.
I don't fully hate colours, or other styles in IRC.. I just think that
people that use them all the time should use ICQ or AIM instead.
