If your machine has been corrupting memory, then likely you will have
corrupted binaries on disk - either from copying them or a corrupted
filesystem handler.

*If* there is no other problem, then perhaps a binary is affected? It's a big
thing, but try reinstalling (from fresh downloads & CD) fresh copies of MUI
and associated MCPs, and other things AmIRC might be loading when it starts.
