Hi there!

Im a little puzzled by your continued problems with AmIRC - everything works
absolutely fine here and I have to say that I find AmIRC the BEST IRC client
there is, not just on the Amiga but any platform that I have used!

So before you give up on it, let's try something else. Maybe there's a
dodgy library there causing AmIRC some grief. Please send us a full listing
of all your library versions by typing the following command line in a
shell:

spat version System3.9:Libs/#?.library

Of course you'll need to adjust the pathname depending on what your system
partition is called.

Also a full listing of your current Amiga setup would be very useful. Aside
from that, why not quiz a wider audience on this problem? If you have a PC
there then fire up mIRC and visit #AmiHelp on ARCNET and ask a few people
there, or try http://amigaworld.net and post the problem in the forum.

In the meantime send us the CLI output of that command line and we'll see
what it comes up with. Use KingCon because you'll be able to save the
output. If you dont have KingCon (get it!) then you can redirect the output
to a text file anyway but Im not sure how you would do this in DOS

Let us know how you get on

PS: BlackIRC would be my next choice of IRC client on the Amiga if I
couldn't use AmIRC... but personally I don't find it as good
