Rick as with all old radios, you never know how many times that dial has been removed and reinstalled. It could be all you have to do is loosen the set screws and put it where you want it. That is, if that is what happened.

This may not be the case but you can tell if the scale tracks correctly now across the dial.

Can someone tell me a few things about the SP-600/JX-17 mechanical alignment? On mine, the left dial seems to be pretty close to accurate, but the band spread or right dial is way off. Since they turn together and the right one is attached to the variable, how can I get the left one right on the money and bring the right one in sync? I tried looking through several manuals and I am too dumb to understand or they are not telling me. I fear it is the first reason...

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
