Rick,

Be sure the HF oscillator tube V4 the 6C4 is fresh. These tubes have a history of aging so that high end alignment can be off.

Beyond that some caps may have changed values. Is it the higher bands that are giving trouble? If so my 6C4 idea may be important.

Thanks Larry. I have just run into yet another problem that may be even more involved. It seems while adjusting the oscillator during the alignment procedure it will not reach the upper limits of the band as needed. If it were the R-388 or similar I'd say she needed the PTO end point adjusted, but this is a horse of a different color. I wonder if this is a common problem with the SP-600? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rick

That may be within 1 gear tooth, I am not sure.
Mine is maybe 1/4 division off.
