There is a small tic mark at the left of the lower scale on the main dial (just below the 0.54 Mhz tuning mark) Set the bandswitch to the 0.54 Mhz range. When the main dial is tuned fully clockwise that tic should line up with the pointer. Don't force it, just tune until it comes to a natural stop. If the dial is not pretty close to being on that tic mark, you will have to mechanical adjust the dial position. If it isn't on that mark, then someone has most likely messed with it. If it is on the tic mark, and still not calibrated properly, RF alignment is necessary. That is the point that the right logging scale should read "0", too.
