In this particular Johnson Valiant, it has a unglazed, 4" ceramic post used as a standoff and connection point for the three 6146 plate parasitic supressors. From that ceramic post, a silver-plated metal ribbon goes over to the plate choke.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but wouldn't that be the RF choke, Bill? B+
is applied to the bottom of the choke, at the top, the three 6146 plates
are fed with parasitic chokes from the top of the RF plate choke.
Usually, anyway...
